I don't know if you realize that bad nutrition is the leading cause of poor health in developed countries and globally, causing more deaths and disabilities than any other factor. Yet nutrition, the number one cause of illness is largely ignored by the the health system: whether in medical education, , reimbursement priorities, treatment protocols, etc.
There is a growing international movement to end food waste by eating ugly produce: if part of 20% of the world's food, deemed too visually unappealing each year to reach the consumers, could be sell and be consumed estimates say we could eliminate 1 billion tons of carbon emissions a year and save 210 millions of food! Isn't that huge?
